Timesheets, servicing, transport, payroll and task management, all from one place.

FieldCMD is plant and crew management for agricultural and civil contractors. Your operators, mechanics and drivers record the day on their phones, with or without signal, and the office sees all of it as it happens: hours, breakdowns, services, parts, transport, tasks, and what every machine is really costing you.

What your crew does on their phones

They do the same jobs they do now. The record just lands in the right place.

  1. Clock on

Open FieldCMD, tap Clock In, and pick the day’s assignment from the schedule the office already set.

  2. Pre-start

Run the custom pre-start for that machine: the checklist, a photo where one is needed, and the hour meter reading. Flag a fault and a job card goes to the mechanics straight away.

  3. Work and breakdowns

The timer runs against the machine, the job and the customer. If something breaks, Report Breakdown pauses the timer and alerts the manager, and one more tap raises the service job on the board.

  4. Tasks

Standby and workshop jobs sit in a task list anyone on the crew can pick up and clock onto, so the quiet hours get used and get recorded.

  5. Mechanics

Mechanics clock onto job cards, work through the service checklist, pull parts from stock, and close the job with the work done, the root cause and the next service due.

  6. Transport

Drivers clock onto transport jobs: the vehicle, the trailers, the load, and origin to destination, with the odometer at each end.

  7. Parts

Anyone can search parts by name, part number or any supplier’s number, and see what’s in stock at each location.

  8. Clock off

Record what was done and the final reading, with a photo of the hour meter, and the numbers the invoice needs, like hectares or loads.

  9. Out of range

No signal? Clock on, pre-starts, breaks and clock off queue on the phone and sync when it finds coverage.

What the office gets without asking

Nobody keys anything in twice. All of it is there as it happens.

Hours and pay

Every shift is split into standard, overtime, weekend, public holiday and night hours at each person’s rates. Operating time sits against paid time, so uptime, downtime and standby are there by person and by machine. Export the pay run as a CSV.

What a machine is really costing you

Repairs and maintenance against replacement value, and downtime against hours worked, by financial year or cropping year. When a machine is costing more to keep than it would to replace, it’s flagged before you’ve had to work it out.

The service board

Breakdowns, pre-start faults and hour-based services on one board, from Breakdown through Waiting Parts to Completed, with every job card carrying its labour, its parts and its cost.

Service alerts

Custom service intervals for every machine, as many as it needs. When the hours get there, the manager gets the alert and a one-tap Create Service Job.

Where everything is

The schedule shows which machine, implement and operator are on which job and which site, and the transport board shows what’s moving between them.

Transport

Transport jobs from Upcoming to Completed, with the vehicle, the trailers, the load and the odometer on each.

Spray diary

Instructions issued to the operator, a record per tank with the weather, the batch numbers and the reconciliation, and a compliance report you can hand to the customer.

Custom pre-starts and checklists

Custom pre-starts for each machine type and custom service checklists, with photo, reading and flag-an-issue items wherever they are needed.

Parts and inventory

Stock by location, purchase orders, stock transfers, stocktakes and suppliers, all tied to the job cards that used the parts.

Reports

Hours by operator and by machine, breakdown frequency, parts usage, job card summary, machine cost summary, transport summary, pre-start compliance, payroll summary, and the invoicing queue. Most export to CSV.

What’s different

  1. No trackers to buy

Machine hours come from the pre-start reading and the shift, so there’s no GPS unit to buy, fit and pay for on every machine. It’s all done through the forms the crew already fill in.

  2. You pay for the machines that worked

A machine that logged no hours isn’t on the bill. Every plan has unlimited users, so every operator gets the app and it costs you nothing extra.

  3. Your rates, your rules

Flat rates, overtime thresholds, weekend and public holiday rates, premiums by machine type, and a report of what was actually paid.

  4. Certified operators on the right machines

Operators are certified by machine category, from Trainee to Trainer. They sign off on their own list, and the schedule warns before someone goes out on a machine they’re not certified for.

  5. Works out of range

Built for remote areas. The phone keeps working without coverage and syncs when it finds it.

  6. Help when it breaks

An assistant that reads your machine manuals and talks the operator through the fault in the paddock, before the mechanic is called.

Built alongside a contracting business, not in an IT department

FieldCMD was built alongside a Territory contracting business that runs 34 machines on other people’s country. It came out of the pain of running that business on spreadsheets and lists, with some of the data in one place and the rest of it somewhere else, and more than one person in the office spending their days keeping it all straight.

Hours were lost between the paddock and the invoice. Days went on chasing parts, and more went on chasing vehicles and gear that had ended up on another site. FieldCMD was built to stop that, one job at a time, with the people who had to live with it.
